The Y8 Charter Girls Rugby team narrowly lost to a very physical Conisborough School in the final of the Met-Kent Rugby Union competition on Friday 13 December 2013. The girls reached the final with a hat-trick of tries from Maise Bourke in the semi-final and courageous defensive displays Tessa Doubleday, Eva Blair and Teddy Hooft. Nelli Blake and Emily White proved to be very quick learners as they showed great handling skills in their first ever competitive rugby tournament. The semi-final finished 20-25 to Charter and Charter narrowly lost to Conisborough School with outstanding tries from Roxanne Lacheze-Beer scoring two tries. The girls fought back from 25-5 at half time to lose 35-40. Well done!
