We are a family school because we are large enough to provide a dynamic, challenging curriculum yet small enough to pay attention to the needs of every child. We know that each child is different and each child deserves success. 

Like every family, we have rules and routines and we have high expectations for each child. Visitors often comment on our happy school where students are well behaved. Pupils love it here because they feel inspired, busy, helped and challenged – but above all, because they feel, and are made to feel, successful. You can download our 'Positive discipline' policy (see below). We expect our students:

  • To arrive punctually at school and lessons to use all learning time fully
  • To carry correct equipment for each lesson,
  • To wear school correct school uniform including PE kit
  • To complete all homework tasks effectively and to the deadline set
  • To work well as an individual and in groups, to enable everyone to achieve
  • To follow the school code of conduct and discipline code
  • To respect their own personal property and that of others and the school
  • To behave in ways that are valued and rewarded in school
  • Not to bring electronic equipment including, mobile phones, mp3 players, iPods to school
  • To use modern technology, such as Facebook or other digital media responsibly
  • To work and play fairly, to make our school a secure environment, without fear or disruption
  • To respect and take pride in our environment
  • To take part in learning opportunities, events and activities and develop fully as an individual
  • To respect all individuals at our school and in our local community
