The 24th edition of the Sunday Times, Parent Power identifies the 2000 highest achieving schools in the UK ranked by recent examination results.
In Southwark, The Charter School is ranked first among the state secondary schools in the borough. Nationally, The Charter School has moved up to 196th in the state secondary school list, ten places higher than in 2015. As this is based on attainment at both GCSE and A Level, selective schools tend to occupy most of the top places. Among the rankings for UK comprehensive schools (non-selective), the Charter School comes in at number 35 in the UK.
Headteacher, Christian Hicks, commented that the Sunday Times ranking is testament to the hard work and commitment from students, families and staff and was further evidence of our continuing dedication to the school values of excellence, responsibility, perseverance and family.
